🇺🇸 Boston New Find Yun-Gui-Chuan Omakase Such a Delightful Surprise
【Too Hot by Noah's Kitchen】Went for a soft opening and was totally wowed… No exaggeration — my thought process went like: “Eh, how good can a new place be?” 👉🏻 “Oh it’s Noah’s? Might be decent” 👉🏻 … “OMG THIS IS AMAZING” and immediately texted my friends raving about it 🫢 It specializes in Yunnan-Guizhou-Sichuan cuisine — already rare in Boston! What’s even more special? Besides the regular menu, they offer a seasonal Chinese Omakase experience 🍽️✨ It’s unique, beautifully executed, and totally lives up to the vision. Sharing some highlights: Walnuts in amber syrup: crispy, perfectly sweet 🧡 Pickled veggies: tangy and spicy 🌶️ Crispy duck with sticky rice: SO fragrant, not greasy at all, with a crunchy rice crust underneath 🦆 Oil-splashed cod with crispy pork: generous portion for two, classic Sichuan flavor 🐟 Yibin preserved veg steamed egg: super smooth, topped with minced pork and greens, with hidden chicken and shrimp inside 🥚 Australian lamb with chili flakes: game-changer 🙏🏻 The spice enhances — not overpowers — the lamb’s richness 🌶️🐑 Chicken broth with “tofu” made from chicken mousse: my favorite 😭✨ Clear broth with bamboo shoots and ham, the chicken mousse is cloud-light… I’d come back just for this Beef short rib: a mix of sweet, sour, bitter, spicy, salty — complex and very Sichuan-ish 🥩 Chicken cold noodles: served with alkaline noodles. Was pretty full by then, but my guy friend finished it happily 🍜 Dessert: taro pudding + bouncy fish maw — not too sweet, great finish 🍠💫 My friend said he’d wait in line for up to 2 hours for this… You can really taste the effort in every dish. Prices are similar to regular Chinese restaurants — so reasonable!! The vibe is relaxed and chic… They were playing “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz — mood instantly lifted 🎶💖 Perfect for dates or catching up with the girls! #BostonEats #BostonFood #NewInBoston #ChineseOmakase #YunGuiChuanCuisine #FoodieReview #HiddenGemBoston
