🇺🇸 Carmel 🧚🏻♀️|Thanksgiving Day Trip
While planning my trip, I compared accommodation prices in Carmel and Monterey and found that staying in Monterey was much more affordable. Plus, getting to Carmel from Monterey is super convenient by either taxi or bus, so I chose to stay in Monterey and take a day trip to Carmel. 📍 Cafe Carmel My first stop in town was brunch at Cafe Carmel. I ordered a Napoleon pastry and a breakfast sandwich 🥪 based on recommendations. The Napoleon wasn’t too sweet, and the cream filling had a subtle hint of lemon—pretty tasty overall! 📍 Downtown Carmel After brunch, I started exploring the town. Carmel is quite small, and besides the often-mentioned spots (Tuck Box/Body Frenzy/Secret Garden), you can easily wander around, take photos, and see everything without spending too much time. 📍 Carmel Beach Walking to the end of Ocean Ave leads you to Carmel Beach. It’s a lovely spot—on a sunny day, it’s perfect for playing in the water or sunbathing. The white sand is clean, and many people bring their furry friends here. It really captures that relaxed weekend vibe! 📍 Carmel Plaza Before heading back, I stopped by Carmel Plaza near the bus stop. The area is already decorated for Christmas 🎄, with plenty of shops and restaurants—a great place to take a break and do some light shopping 🛍️. #ThanksgivingTravel #CarmelByTheSea #Highway1
