If you only plan to make a few stops, you can’t miss this enchanting town 😏. The Romantic Grimm’s Fairy Tale Town—Carmel-by-the-Sea Nestled in California, Carmel-by-the-Sea is famous for its stunning beaches 🏖️, rolling hills ⛰️, and Mediterranean-style architecture. Founded in 1851, this historic town boasts unique architectural charm—think high-pitched roofs 🔝, exquisite stonework, and beautiful gardens 🌇. The air here is filled with an artistic vibe 😊. Carmel is beautiful, tranquil, and utterly unique. It offers a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city 🏙️—a must-visit! Get drunk on California’s romance and turn life into a fairy tale! 🌿 Morning Adventure Due to jet lag, we woke up at 4 AM, and Duoduo (and Dad) joined me by 5 AM. With wide-eyed excitement, we decided to start early and explore the most beautiful coastline 🌴 with a family road trip along Highway 1! We voted against another burger breakfast and opted for Starbucks instead. Duoduo tried it too and loved it! After packing up, we bid farewell to the picturesque town and headed north along the coast toward the most stunning section of Highway 1—17-Mile Drive. Located on the Monterey Peninsula, this stretch is so beautiful that it was named after its length. 🌿 Entering 17-Mile Drive Soon, we spotted elegant buildings ahead and guessed we’d reached the privately maintained scenic area. At the entrance, a security guard waved us in. After paying the fee, we received a brochure detailing the highlights. As we drove through the gate, we passed luxurious resort hotels and pristine golf courses. The road soon began winding along the coastline, revealing breathtaking views at every turn—white sandy beaches, dark rocky shores, and dramatic cliffs. We stopped frequently at designated viewpoints to soak it all in. 🌿 Coastal Majesty Standing on the rugged rocks, facing the vast Pacific Ocean, feeling the sea breeze, and watching the crashing waves was truly awe-inspiring. With the sound of waves echoing around us, we embraced the sky and the sea. Today also marks the 75th anniversary of our nation’s founding 🎂.
