🇺🇸 Eating Raw Marinated Crab in LA
Over five days in LA, I ate a lot — but looking back, the most unique meal, one you can’t find in Seattle, was definitely this. I’d never even heard of this type of cuisine back in Taiwan, let alone tried it. Personally, I still prefer refined Japanese-style seafood, but even a month later, I find myself wanting to go back. Overall, it’s a bold, ocean-forward experience — best enjoyed in smaller portions to savor the freshness. By the end, I felt satisfied but not eager for more — unless you’re truly obsessed with raw seafood. 🦀 What we ordered (very subjective): 🦀 No.3 Marinated Crab (Medium) — Must-order! First time eating raw crab — easier than expected, just keep sucking the meat. Super fresh. 🦀 No.12 Live Uni with Shell (Premium) — Must-order! Generous uni portion, comes with nori to wrap yourself. Fun fact from a friend: this type of uni can “walk” underwater (she saw it at an aquarium… sent pics and everything… but I’d forget even if I saw it 😂). 🦀 No.59 Wagyu BBQ Beef (with mini rice ball) — Highly recommend! One of the few non-seafood dishes — good for balance. Really enjoyed this one. 🦀 No.50 Baby Octopus (with mini rice ball) Solid, but if choosing between this and the Wagyu — go Wagyu. 🦀 No.32 Ox Tail Soup Many find it bland, but I prefer lighter flavors and thought it was delicious. If too mild, just add a little salt. #MasterHa #MarinatedCrab #LASeafood #RawCrab #UniLover #WagyuBBQ #Koreanseafood
