🇺🇸✨ El Paso | That Day I Saw Mexico Beyond the Mountains

El Paso is truly a city with soul – warm, vibrant, and captivating! That evening, sipping drinks on a rooftop as the sunset painted the city in gold 🍹🌇, I realized just beyond those mountains lies another country – Mexico – home to wonderful people and rich culture. 💕 I kicked off my Memorial Day Trip in El Paso, the largest city in far West Texas 🏙️, known for its stunning natural landscapes, deep history, and beautiful cultural fusion. It was the perfect starting point for my New Mexico adventure! 🏨 The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park I chose this hotel for its legendary rooftop sunset views… and it did NOT disappoint! 😍 Every photo here (except Fig 9) was taken at the hotel. Plus, they use Le Labo products everywhere – as a fragrance lover, I was thrilled! 🧴✨ But fair warning: I stayed on the 15th floor, and the rooftop bar (17th floor) played loud EDM music until late. After just returning from EDC, I couldn’t handle more beats 🎧💤 – light sleepers, take note! ⛰️ About El Paso Nestled at the foot of the majestic Franklin Mountains, this border city blends American and Mexican influences seamlessly. You can feel it everywhere! Must-visits: El Paso Museum of History – Dive into border culture and history 🏛️ St. Patrick Cathedral ⛪ Chamizal National Memorial – Celebrating cross-border peace and art 🌎 😋 Food & Drinks El Paso is famous for its authentic Mexican cuisine! I tried Julio's Mexican Food (📍8050 Gtwy Blvd E) – tasty and very local (though I’m still learning to fully appreciate Mexican flavors 😅). The hotel’s restaurant and rooftop bar are also fantastic (reservations recommended!). Go at sunset for cocktails – they don’t have a menu; the bartender crafts custom drinks based on your preferences! 🍸✨ If you’re looking for a romantic and culturally rich getaway, bring someone you love to watch the sunset from a rooftop in El Paso! ❤️🌄 #El Paso #TravelGuide #ElPasoEats #SunsetViews #USMexicoBorder #RooftopVibes
