I visited the El Paso History Museum expecting a comprehensive and balanced exploration of the city’s rich history, but I left deeply disappointed by the uneven and biased presentation. The tour guide spent an excessive 20 minutes dissecting every single piece in the queer exhibit, delving into minute details that felt repetitive and overly drawn out. While the exhibit itself was interesting, the disproportionate focus came at the expense of the museum’s other sections. Every other area—covering El Paso’s cultural, industrial, and historical milestones—received a mere 3 minutes of explanation, with a rushed 5-minute walkthrough for entire exhibits. Important artifacts and stories were glossed over, leaving me with little understanding of the broader context of El Paso’s past. We spent two hours here wandering around and particularly appreciated the thoughtful and inclusive historical narrative.
There are excellent accommodations for breastfeeding, sensory issues, wheelchairs etc. and staff are knowledgeable and friendly.

DIGIE the six screen digital wall starts your visit outside with the ability to look at the city from the interactive perspective, on a timeline or based on interest (aviation, hospitality etc). The museum features some beautifully preserved artificats, showcases the history of El Paso Community College (currently celebrating its 50th year).
