πΊπΈ Half-Day Trip to Memphis, Tennessee ππ¨
π Graceland $75 ticket (mansion + private jet + museum) I finished in about 2 hours β³ Comes with an iPad audio guide for the mansion tour π§ Not crowded β mostly older fans ππ΅π΄ Personal note: As a non-fan, I felt it was overpriced! If you just want an intro to Elvis, go for the $45 museum-only ticket. π΅ Beale Street Plenty of parking π ΏοΈ β paid lots are safer if youβre worried about belongings. Shops close by 5 PM ποΈ Bars and restaurants stay open with live music πΉπΈ Quite a few unhoused people around, but lots of tourists and police β they generally donβt bother you. Pro tip: Play the βI donβt speak Englishβ card if needed π Best at night! Neon lights β¨, street performers, feels like a '70s Hollywood movie π₯ Recommend grabbing food and drinks at a busy spot β safer and livelier. This year some places seemed empty, maybe due to the economy π π Food Fried fish and BBQ ribs are must-tries β classic Southern fare ππ My verdict: typical American food. Nothing special β but you gotta eat, right? π π―ββοΈ Final Thoughts: If youβre quick and not a huge Elvis fan, half a day is enough. Maybe one full day max. I struggled to find unique things to do here tooβ¦ Itβs all Elvis, Elvis, Elvis! π Theyβve definitely found their niche β and their cash cow πΈ #USA #TravelUSA #StudyInTheUS #Tennessee #Memphis #AmericanSouth #RoadTripVibes πΊπΈβοΈ
