πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ I Finally Made It to America's Northwest Corner - Cape Flattery!

This weekend I visited the Makah Indian Reservation at the northwesternmost point of the continental US, checking off two iconic spots: Cape Flattery and Shi Shi Beach 🌊 (I've already shared details about the amazing Shi Shi Beach in my previous post - check my [Washington State] collection if interested!). πŸ”Ά Entry Pass: $20 for a special pass (valid until year-end) - no substitutes accepted for National/State Park passes πŸ’³. Cash/card both work. πŸ”Ά Parking: Small lot πŸš— - many park along the road. Toilets available. Trail turnover is quick since it's short. πŸ”Ά Hike: Easy 1.2-mile round trip (40-60 mins) with gentle slopes πŸ‘Ÿ - perfect for all ages! πŸ”Ά Lighting: Midday visits = harsh glare on left-side waters (washed-out photos) πŸ“Έ. Right-side views photograph better! πŸ”Ά Downside: SUPER remote πŸ—ΊοΈ - pair it with other destinations to make the drive worthwhile! Pro Tips: πŸŒ… Visit at sunrise/sunset for magical lighting πŸ“¦ Pack snacks - no facilities nearby πŸ§₯ Bring windproof layers - it gets breezy! More WA travel guides in my [Washington State] highlights. #Seattle #Wanderlust #HiddenGems #WashingtonState #WeekendVibes #HikingEssentials #EpicViews #BucketListHikes
