DMV Family Outing | Maryland Zoo 🦩

It’s winter, so it’s a bit quiet, but there are still a few animals to see. Finally saw giraffes šŸ¦’ and flamingos 🦩, and there was also an African animal with a very special appearance, whose name I forgot šŸ˜…, so there were still some animals, so it wasn’t like there was nothing to see. There’s a cave area, which feels like a small tunnel, and there’s also a dark room under a large tree stump, where I felt there were a lot of hibernating snakes (but my son was too scared of the dark… so we didn’t see…) šŸŽŸļøTickets: $66 for one adult and one childšŸ’ø (the official website says teachers can get a$15 discount… but when I went there and asked, they said there was no teacher discount, very sad🄹, you can also get an annual pass if you need it) Activities: There’s a carouselšŸŽ  and a small trainšŸš‚ inside the park. (It seems that you needed to buy tickets separately before, but when I went today, you didn’t need to buy extra tickets for the small train, you can ride it unlimitedly, but this train track doesn’t go around the park, it just goes back and forth on the side) There’s also a VR experience (didn’t try… but this may require an additional ticket) 🚶It took about 2 hours and 8,000 steps to walk through the entire park at a leisurely pace. Parents with young children must bring a stroller. The entire park is stroller-friendly, the environment is also very good, and it’s also a good choice to just take a walk. 🄹Actually, I basically don’t go to Baltimore with my children because I’m a bit scaredšŸ˜… If you are going, go during the dayšŸ‘Œ I don’t recommend going in the evening, you’ll understandšŸ˜… I asked my son, ā€œDo you think this is a good area or a bad one?ā€ My son, who is basically a dailyēžŽā€¦, can even tell that it’s not good… …But maybe because it was early winter, it felt like everyone was still asleep, so there weren’t many people walking around… so I didn’t feel so unsafe. I was almost scared to death when someone knocked on my car window at a traffic light🄹 But the zoo’s parking lot felt very safe, right in front of the main entrance, you can walk in. So you just need to navigate to the place, and if you want to eat on the way back, navigate away from this area to eat, and that’s it. #ZooWalkingIsTheRealDeal #DMVFamilyOuting #DMVFamilyFunSpots #MarylandZoo #Maryland #MarylandZoo #DMVZoo
