🇺🇸 LA | Matu|A Truly "Beef-focused" Restaurant 🥩🔥

This place is seriously all about beef! I saw on Instagram that Matu raises their cattle exceptionally well before serving— 100% grass-fed and carefully sourced. Too bad I’m not a beef expert, but my friends loved it and said the meat was really high quality! 👍 ~ Out of curiosity, I also tried the shrimp 🦐—pretty bland and forgettable. Stick to the beef—it’s what they do best! The beef tartare was also underwhelming… not sure if they were aiming to highlight the pure taste of the beef (it was odor-free, but just meh 😅). Lately, I’ve found beef tartares kinda boring—I miss Smoni (though I know it’s not a fair comparison!). That said, the beef itself is top-notch—no complaints about the quality! We even ordered a special upgrade, and the texture was amazing. Their cocktails (8+1) were all great too! 🍹 ~ One small suggestion: Skip the set menu—it can get heavy and repetitive. Just order à la carte! And don’t miss the braised beef cheek—it’s fall-apart tender and absolutely must-try! 😋🍖 #Foodie #LifeAbroad #BeautifulMeals #LAFoodGuide #SoCalLife #MyFoodCollection #BeefLovers #DateNightSpot #VibeDining #HiddenRestaurantGems
