Recently, a Korean friend took me to his go-to spot β Kote Dae Ji near Fullerton in Orange County, which has been open for over 20 years! Judging by the name, I thought it was just another Korean BBQ joint, but inside I found a huge variety of Korean dishes β even the free side dishes were impressive, including complimentary spicy raw crab π¦ and chive pancake! π· Charcoal-Grilled Pork Ribs β Their specialty, and currently the only place in LA doing it this way! Tastes similar to grilled galbi β slightly sweet Korean marinade, kissed with charcoal fire π₯ for that irresistible aroma. Crispy outside, tender and juicy inside β gets better with every bite. π Spicy Braised Cod β Served piping hot and incredibly fragrant! The cod is tender, flaky, and melts in your mouth β not too many bones. Coated in a sweet-spicy sauce thatβs perfect mixed with rice π π² Beef Intestine Hot Pot β Rich, spicy Korean broth bubbling away. The intestines are tender, chewy, and cleaned well, with some tripe added for extra texture. Served with spicy udon noodles β warm and comforting. Portion is huge, great for 2β3 people to share. π Lunch Specials β On weekdays, they have a $12.99 dumpling soup / rice soup lunch. Or choose grilled pork ribs / galbi / beef / pork + cold noodles / doenjang jjigae for just $19.99! We went with cold noodles and galbi β refreshing, filling, and great value. π Kote Dae Ji Korean BBQ 14816 Beach Blvd, La Mirada, CA 90638 #LifeInNorthAmerica #LAEats #LAFoodGuide #LAKoreanFood #Fullerton #FullertonEats #KoteDaeJi
