🇺🇸 Lake Powell Kayaking 🚣➕ Hiking 3-Day Guide

Drove over 5 hours from Salt Lake City to Page town and stayed at Best Western, which offers free breakfast and parking. 🚗🍳🅿️ ​​Day 1:​​ Arrived just in time for sunset and enjoyed the view of Lake Powell from Wahweap Point. 🌅 We loved the Korean restaurant ​​K-BBQ and Tofu​​—ordered Army Stew and Bibimbap, both were delicious! 😋 The place has a great atmosphere, opened just 5 months ago. The owner was super friendly and even gave us free rice and extra instant noodles. 🍚❤️ ​​Day 2:​​ Joined an 8 AM kayaking tour—$156 for a double kayak. The whole tour lasted over 4 hours. 🚣‍♂️💦 We met at Antelope Point Launch Ramp. After kayaking for an hour, we reached a spot where we could continue hiking! The valley felt like a perfect alternative to Antelope Canyon and was extremely photogenic. 📸✨ We didn’t hike all the way—turned back after about 1 mile and kayaked back to shore. The guide thoughtfully provided waterproof phone cases and bottled water, though this spot feels manageable even without a guide. ⚠️ Note: Winds and waves pick up in the afternoon, so it’s best to go around 7–8 AM when the water is calmer and kayaking is easier. Don’t forget sunscreen—apply and reapply! My friend and I got sunburned after kayaking. 😅🌞 I wore a swimsuit and flip-flops for kayaking but didn’t expect the hiking part. Recommend bringing extra hiking shoes and clothes in a waterproof backpack. 👟🎒 Temperatures reached 27°C—people in the group wore all kinds of outfits! ​​Day 3:​​ Visited the "Gas Station" scenic spot—it was crowded, so photos didn’t turn out great. ⛽😕 Drove an hour to ​​Wire Pass Trailhead in Knab​​. Entry is $6/person—buy tickets online in advance and keep a printed copy in your car. 🎫 After 30 minutes of hiking, you start seeing Antelope Canyon-like views! Light streaming into the canyon, illuminating wave-like patterns on the rocks—so photogenic! 📸💫 And it was almost empty—peaceful and relaxing. We hiked 3 km until we reached a water crossing, then turned back.
