Joe and his wife made our trip to lake Powell a memory to remember. Price's are very reasonable, customer service is high , there employees represent this company well. They have a coffee bar. We made reservations for a double kayak and paddle board. We took Joe's suggestion to go early (6am) our gear was loaded for us. They provide everything for transporting the gear an being safe in the water. We where given maps and safety instructions on how to load our gear once done at the lake. We where in the water by 7. very few people at that time of the morning . go at your own pace. early is best because water is calm. We took small ice chest, water proof bag is helpful but not required we used it for keys an wallet. Do highly recommend you buy a water proof phone case which you can purchase on site took the stress out of worrying about dropping the phone or it getting wet. Take more water then you think you need. Camel backs work good. Eat our lunch off the kayaks. Spent 6 hours kayaking , paddle boarding and swimming, laughing an poking fun at each other ! By 11 am there are large tour boats and more people ,water was choppy due to wind and wakes. When we where loading our gear at the boat ramp ,we where struggling to get the kayak back up on top of our SUV. Max an employee was at the ramp ,saw us struggling came to help. Thank you Max for going above and beyond to help us women. I can not say enough about this company. Joe knew all of our names when we returned with the equipment. There is also an option to kayak below Glen damn, you will have to ask them about details as we did not do that trip We will be back and our business goes to #lakepowellpaddleboards thanks Judy , Angel ...
Read moreWe booked our kayak + hike tour through @lakepowellpaddleboards, and I can honestly say it was one of the most breath taking experiences I’ve ever had! 💙✨
Originally, our tour was scheduled for 11AM, but the time was changed to 8AM due to expected high winds. That definitely threw a wrench in our plans since we were driving over 4 hours from our hotel in Phoenix but honestly, it made us feel so good knowing the company was looking out for our safety. They don’t just run tours they really care.
Our awesome guide Matt even waited for us at the dock (thank you, Matt!!), but just a heads up if you book with them, BE ON TIME. They’re incredibly professional and organized.
They also send out detailed emails with all the info you could possibly need before your excursion directions, check in times, what to bring, what to expect everything. It really helps you feel prepared and confident going in.
The excursion itself is strenuous between kayaking and hiking, you’ll cover around 5 miles or more. Make sure you pack plenty of water and snacks!
But trust me, it’s worth every step and paddle stroke. Being inside those majestic canyons is absolutely breath taking. The silence, the red rock walls, the pure adventure it’s something I’ll never forget. I would 1000% do it again. 🙌
Highly recommend @lakepowellpaddleboards professional, prepared, and passionate about delivering a truly...
Read moreHad the best time with my senior dog today. They were so nice. I had called to ask many questions a couple of days prior, and they were super gracious on the phone. I showed up as a walk-in today, and there was no problem. It's early May and a Friday. I got a card with instructions. Follow the driving directions on the card!! That boat ramp is steep and super long. But I forgot the card in the car, so I had to haul my toosh all the way back up to get it. WALK INS, TAKE YOUR CARD WITH YOU. Cody was so nice and helped me launch with Choo. I wasn't sure how my dog would do on a sit on top kayak, so we paddled a little around the launch area. No problems. Off we went. I was warned the wind would kick up at 1 pm. I didn't quite appreciate just how much of a problem that would be coming back. Anyway, the canyon was great. Choo didn't make past the ladder, but that's OK. It was hot and he went swimming instead. The way back was chill at first, but then the wind kicked in, and that was quite the full body workout 🙈. At least the current wasn't double teaming with the wind, but the speed boats can get floofed if you know what I mean. Cody was a pawsome gentleman and helped me by pulling the kayak back up. Choo was beat. I drove back to the shop to leave a tip because I just couldn't bring myself to walk down again. What a day! Great adventure! Great company....
