đşđ¸ Long Beach Michelin Star | Heritage
Atmosphere, setting, service, dishes, value for money... A comfortably executed tasting menu experience. Only the desserts fell short, but overall well worth trying! â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘ Crème Caviar đŚđ ăCaviar Ice Creamă Olive oil | Chive | Heritage caviar A stunning opening act! Ice cream with a creamy, rich texture enhanced by olive oil for smoothnessâsilky and refined on the palate. Crisp chives meet bursting caviar pearls, with umami perfectly balanced against subtle sweetness. A delicacy worth savoring repeatedly. â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘ Kanpachi Crudo đ ăAmberjack Sashimiă Grilled farm peas | Wood sorrel The fish temperature was ideal. While not top-tier, the quality was acceptableâthough slightly fibrous and lacking in freshness. The grilled peas were expertly cookedâcrisp and refreshing with minimal seasoning, preserving their natural freshness. But!! The sauce was overwhelmingly salty... drowning out all other flavors. Only the textures of the ingredients stood out. â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘ Wild Porcini Mushrooms đ ăPan-Seared Porciniă Sunchoke stew | Pickled porcini The porcini mushrooms were unremarkable in texture and flavor, but the sunchokes were brilliantly utilized. Fried sunchoke strips were crispy and fragrant; the stewed sunchoke purĂŠe, whipped to a light foam, maintained a smooth yet airy texture with a subtle sweet-salty balance. â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘ Grilled Diver Scallop đ´ ăHand-Harvested Scallopă JamĂłn | Mussels | Mustard greens The scallop was sweet and tenderâlightly charred outside, soft and creamy inside. The cooking was flawless... until excessive salt ruined it. The jamĂłn (lean cut) was chewy, savory, and not overly fatty. The mussels were tender too, though lacking in brininess. The sauce surprised with its acidity but thankfully didnât overshadow the main ingredients. â˘â˘â˘â˘â˘ đ 2032 E 7th St, Long Beach, CA 90804 #LosAngeles #MichelinStar #FoodDiary #WinterTravel #WineNights #HiddenGems #FoodieAdventure #MemorableMoments #CalifornianCuisine #SeafoodLovers
