🇺🇸 Memphis: A Fun Two-Day, One-Night Trip!
Overall, it was a great experience! 😄 On the first day, we arrived around noon and had lunch at Central BBQ 🍖. The pulled pork was a bit dry, but the ribs were tangy and sweet—pretty tasty! In the afternoon, we visited the Memphis Zoo 🐾. We walked around for about two and a half hours under the blazing sun ☀️. The giant pandas weren’t out, but we saw plenty of other animals. My favorite was the aquarium—the fish were all super chill and lazy, probably because of the heat 😴. Next, we went to the Lorraine Motel, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated. It’s now a museum 🕊️. They start with a video, then take you through the history of the Black civil rights movement. Powerful and educational. We stayed overnight at the Big Cypress Lodge inside the Bass Pro Shop pyramid 🏢. The setup is fun—store downstairs, hotel upstairs—but honestly, it wasn’t really worth the price 🫤. Memphis has plenty of lodging options, especially for a tourist city. The room did have a cool deer head mount though—nice photo op! 🦌 #Memphis #TravelUSA #SoloTravel #FoodieTravel #SouthernUS #MemphisBBQ #TravelDiary
