🇺🇸 Must-Drive 395 Series – Mammoth Mountain 🏔️
Mammoth Mountain isn’t just California’s “viral ski resort”—it’s a year-round adventure paradise! 🌟 Must-Visit Spots: Devils Postpile National Monument – Stunning basalt columns perfect for photos 📸. Hike to Rainbow Falls for a magical view of the waterfall and rainbows 🌈. Mammoth Lakes Basin – Drive right up to pristine lakes like Twin Lakes and Lake Mary. The scenery is unreal! 🚗💨 Hot Creek Geological Site – A glowing blue geothermal river with snow-capped mountains in the background—feels like Iceland! ❄️💧 Convict Lake – On calm days, the water mirrors the mountains perfectly. A photographer’s dream! 📷✨ 🛁 Hot Spring Soaking: Wild Willy’s Hot Springs – Free, natural, and surrounded by epic views. Best enjoyed in winter! ❄️🔥 Hilltop Hot Tub – Secluded and peaceful, especially magical at sunset. 🌅🧖 🥾 Hiking Recommendations: Crystal Lake Trail – 3 km round trip. The lake shines like crystal—so clear and beautiful! 💎 Duck Pass Trail – 10 km round trip. A must for experienced hikers! Offers lakes, mountains, and wildflowers all in one. 🌄🌿 McLeod Lake Trail – Short and easy, perfect for families with kids. 👨👩👧👦🍃 Final Tips: I went in mid-May—bring a down jacket even then! ❄️🧥 Stay at a resort; it even snowed at night! Best time for hiking is June or later. While Yellowstone’s hot springs are off-limits, these are totally soakable! 👍 Just one warning—the wind is no joke. Lightweights might literally get blown away! 💨😅 #RoadTripGoals #Highway395 #California #NaturalSkiResort #PhotoInspo #ExploreTheOutdoors #AdventureAwaits #MountainLife
