1️⃣ Forever Marilyn A giant Marilyn Monroe statue – but it’s super hot 🥵, be careful not to get roasted! 🅿️ Parking: There’s an underground parking lot right next to it. 2️⃣ Palm Springs Art Museum $16 💵 – The Marilyn statue is nearby. Super photogenic 🖼️, and a perfect place to escape the heat and enjoy AC. ❄️ 3️⃣ Joshua Tree National Park $30 per car 🚗 – When I went, no one was selling tickets at the south entrance 😅 Watch out for those cute but painful cacti 🌵 – I got spiked through my shoe, it hurt so bad 😭 Recommended to go near sunset – the views are absolutely breathtaking! 🌅 4️⃣ Indian Canyon Andreas Trail in Indian Canyon is perfect for light hiking 🥾 You can reach the stream right after getting out of the car – even if you don’t hike, you can play in the water 💦 and see the fuzzy palm trees 🌴 5️⃣ Salvation Mountain A religious art installation made from adobe, waste materials, and lots of paint 🎨 It’s mainly just for photos – but very unique! 📸 6️⃣ Desert Hills Premium Outlets The most famous outlet mall in the western US 🛍️ Over 180 brands – discounts can be hit or miss, but ski gear is highly recommended! 🎿👍 7️⃣ Imperial Sand Dunes A hidden gem on the CA-Mexico border 🏜️ Seriously hot but incredibly photogenic – endless white sand dunes 🤍 Wear bright colors for great pics!
