If you’re passing through Palm Springs, there’s one woman you can’t miss—literally. I stopped by to see the massive “Forever Marilyn” statue this past January, and even though I just did a drive-by and took pics, it was totally worth it.
This 26-foot-tall statue of Marilyn Monroe captures her in that iconic white dress moment from The Seven Year Itch, and she’s posted up right downtown like she owns the place (and she kinda does). 💋
The statue originally toured the country but found a permanent home here in Palm Springs, where Marilyn once had a home and was a frequent visitor.

Absolutely stunning — especially at night! The Forever Marilyn statue in Palm Springs is larger than life and full of timeless energy. Lit up against the deep blue desert sky, it feels like she’s frozen in a moment of joy, beauty, and boldness. Perfectly placed among the palm trees and beautifully lit — it’s a must-see if you’re in the area.
Locals and tourists were all stopping by to take photos and just vibe with the atmosphere. There’s something magical about seeing an icon like Marilyn stand tall and confident right in the heart of the desert. It’s more than a photo op — it’s a full experience.
Tip: Go after sunset for the best lighting and cooler air. She truly glows.

Around the block was the PS Love U sign, which I assumes mean Palm Springs Loves You, and not PS I Love You movie. Very romantic setting in downtown Palm Springs and is a free attraction to appreciate the origin and story of how the Forever Marilyn statue came to be. Google maps may take you to a parking lot, but there are closer parking lot that's free and walking distance. We went late at night, and it there was many...
