Butcher & Singer is the original steakhouse from the owner of Barclay Prime. After several visits, I finally got around to writing this up. Compared to Barclay, I personally prefer Barclay Prime — both in flavor and ambiance. The vibe here is classic old-school American steakhouse — dim lighting, spacious seating, sharply dressed waitstaff. Cocktails at these established spots are always solid — generous pours and well-balanced. We ordered: 🦪 Oyster Platter & Grilled Oysters — Half from the West Coast, which were noticeably plumper and sweeter than East Coast ones. 🥩 Steak — Traditional, no-frills, cooked spot-on — the kind that makes you nod quietly in appreciation. 🥬 Sides — All delicious, especially the Brussels sprouts. Creamed spinach tasted like the rich, classic prepped version. 🐟 Salmon — Could skip. TL;DR: Go if you really love steak.
