🇺🇸 Philly | Classic Steakhouse – Butcher and Singer 🥩

Spent Valentine’s Day with the girls at this iconic steakhouse! The vibe is elegant and almost palace-like—definitely book ahead. Price: ~$100 per person (incl. tip). 🍞 Complimentary Bread – 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ It’s actually a biscuit—looks like a scone but moist and tender inside, not crumbly. The top is flaky like a croissant, but the texture is more like a soft, buttery cookie—and it’s savory! Loved the crust, though the inside was a bit sticky/oily. 🥩 32oz Porterhouse – 🌟🌟🌟🌟 One side NY strip, one side filet. Ordered medium-rare. The strip was perfect—juicy with a nice fat cap. The filet was a bit overcooked (since it’s thinner), leaner and tender. Good char flavor overall, but the plates were cold by the time the steak arrived—cold steak brings out a sour note. 🐟 Sea Bass – 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A table favorite! Tender, no fishy taste, beautifully seasoned with white wine and a hint of spicy pepper. Served with butter (a rich sauce might’ve been even better). 🥔 Stuffed Hash Browns – 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Potato lovers, this is a must! Crispy shredded potatoes on the outside, soft diced potatoes mixed with white cheese inside—creamy and not greasy. 🍰 Baked Alaska – 🌟🌟🌟✨ Most looking forward to this but found it too sweet (classic American sweetness). The torched marshmallow top was slightly crisp, with smooth banana ice cream inside. The base was a standard pound cake. 🏷️ Butcher and Singer 📍 1500 Walnut St, Philadelphia, PA 19102 #RestaurantRecommendations #HiddenGem #InternationalStudentEats #Philly #Steakhouse
