LOVE THE BISCUITS! Came back here 3 times in 7 days. Food was great service was amazing.
In total, have gone here more than 20 times in the last 5 year, love this place. very consistent even through the pandemic, they offer outside seating.
2/9/2022 -
Came here for my birthday dinner after having the reservation booked for a month. We were seated immediately with a nice view of the restaurant. The chairs were noticeably very comfortable.
Biscuit as usual were amazing with the honey butter. More only on request - this is a change from before, as the last time we went there in the summertime we received biscuits without asking.
Steak Tartare $19 - Uncooked meat in an acidic sauce, well balanced. Very similar to ceviche. Not sure if I would get again just because it is uncooked, but the taste is really surprisingly great.
We had the Steak Porterhouse for two $105 - Came out perfect. Nice outside with the inside being a medium well. Taste was delicious, very well evenly seasoned. Would get again. A wow Dish.
Mushroom and onions $12 were phenomenal. The mushroom was very well thoroughly cleaned and cooked, light and very flavorful. This is was a surprise. I would get this again. A wow dish.
Truffle Butter $10 - Exactly how it was supposed to taste perfect for steak add on, would get again.
Lemonade $4 - Fresh, light, good.
Black Cherry Soda $4 - Really good, refreshing.
Aqua Panna $7 - Really refreshing one of the best still waters offered at restaurants. Would get this again.
King Salmon - $39 - Strange disappointment with this just because of the plate and how different it is than how I usually see it. Every time that I have gotten this I see more on the plate. However, the outside was cooked perfectly and inside as well, the sauce underneath complimented the salmon. Still this was a shock (refer to pics). Unfortunately, I would not get again.
Stuffed Hash Brown $17 - Enough for 2 people, very pleasantly surprised with portions and how this is cooked. Outside is crispy and inside is very thoroughly cooked soft and very much a hash brown, which I love. Would get again. A wow dish.
Vanilla Ice Cream - $9 - This was one of the best vanilla ice creams I've ever had, the vanilla was very refreshing and had a real depth of flavor. Every bite was delicious. Would definitely get again.
We went to 3 very expensive restaurants this week with our bills being $250-$400. This restaurant is still the top 1 on our top 10 restaurant list and has been extremely consistent throughout the years. We have been back several times this year and look forward to coming back soon. Our bill...

Each bite was an indulgence, a celebration of flavor that left us yearning for more.
And let us not forget the cocktails—oh, the cocktails! Victor, expertly crafted libations that would make even Jay Gatsby proud. Victor was amazing! From the classic Old Fashioned to the whimsical concoctions that danced with exotic flavors, each sip transported me to a world of glamour and delight. Victor, the mixologists is a true artist, pouring their passion into every glass, ensuring that the toast of the evening is nothing short of extraordinary.

Read moreI would give a 1 star if it weren’t for the manager. I hate not giving great reviews to restaurants, especially ones that I used to love. This was a really disappointing experience. I had a business meeting with three other guests. I ordered wine for the table which was presented and served perfectly. Our server started off very strong but went downhill after. We ordered the Seafood Tower to start. The seafood was very fresh but the oysters were not shucked properly, sticking to the shell. The lobster was chewy but the shrimp and crab were excellent.
The second course was their version of a wedge salad, chopped with Russian dressing. The runner put the family style salad in the middle of the table with no utensils to serve the salad. After waiting 5 minutes to find our server, I decided to serve my guests, utilizing my French service skills from years ago:) The salad was over dressed but very tasty.
My guests ordered the salmon, the dry aged ribeye au poivre (special) and two of us ordered the bone in filet au poivre. (Med/MR) We ordered the stuffed hash brown, onions/mushrooms as sides. My guest that got the medium bone in filet came out rare. My bone in filet was raw in the middle and cold. My other guest that had the rib eye said it was like chewing leather. Unfortunately, we had to send the three steaks back. Apparently, our server got the management involved which was great, but we never saw her again until it was dessert(mistake). We should’ve gotten new sides with new steaks but instead, I got my same steak back but overcooked, my other guest ate his re-fired filet and my other guest got the bone in filet instead of the ribeye which was supposed to be au poivre but came out regular. All the sauces were cold and not replaced. The manager came over and was very professional and took the constructive criticism very well, along with comping most of the entire dinner. Not necessary but much appreciated.
We ordered the Lemon Ice Box Cake (amazing), Chocolate PB Tart (amazing) and some cordials. The manager definitely redeemed the night but we will not be going back unfortunately. Steak 48 has set the standard for steak in the city. It’s a shame, Butcher & Singer used to be my go to prior to COVID. Hope they get back to the...
