🇺🇸 Sacramento | Exploring California’s Capital
1️⃣ Just a 2+ hour drive from the Bay Area — perfect for a weekend trip! 😌 Relaxed, slow-paced, and super chill. Surprisingly green too — said to be one of the most tree-filled cities in the US. 🌳🇺🇸 2️⃣ The Railroad Museum is huge! 🚂✨ Several retired grandpa volunteers give super enthusiastic tours. A must-visit! 3️⃣ “Made in China” has always been impressive 🇨🇳💪 — built 10 miles of rail per day. The Central Pacific Railroad was largely constructed by Chinese workers, mostly from Guangdong. It took them 2.5 years of hard labor just to pay off their passage to the US. 4️⃣ Crocker Art Museum is bigger than expected 🖼️. Features Thomas Hill’s Yosemite paintings and Wayne Thiebaud’s delicious dessert artworks — both artists have roots in Sacramento. Also houses a solid collection of California Impressionist works. 5️⃣ So many classic cars cruising around town! 🚗✨ 6️⃣ Old Sac is super walkable 👟🗺️ — easy to explore on foot. 7️⃣ The riverfront area feels safe, even nice for an evening stroll 🌉🌙 8️⃣ “Farm-to-Fork” is the city’s food claim 🥗🍴. Ate at Mulvaney’s B&L — pretty good! 9️⃣ Popular spot Flame Cafe (Hong Kong-style diner) — so tasty! 🍛🧋 🔟 I asked AI: *What do 19th-century railroad workers, Great Depression-era grape pickers, and 21st-century tech workers have in common?* AI said: “They all faced intense workloads.” 💔 Ouch. Truth hurts. Back to village life… and work 😅👩💻 #BayArea #California #SiliconValley #Sacramento #WeekendVibes #ExploreLocal #USHistory #ArtAndCulture #FarmToFork #TechLife 🚂🌆🍇
