🇺🇸 Salt Lake City / 🇪🇸 Spanish Cuisine / Mar Muntanya

Mar Muntanya 🇪🇸🏔️🌊 📍 170 S West Temple, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 (Located on the 6th floor of Hyatt Regency) 🍴 Spanish Cuisine 💵 Average $100 per person Intro 💭: In Europe, if Spanish cuisine dares to call itself second, only Italian and French would claim first place 🥇. I’ve always loved Spanish food—whether it’s Mediterranean seafood or Iberian pork from the mountains, each ingredient tells a delicious story of Spain’s culinary charm. Today, we’re visiting Mar Muntanya, a Spanish restaurant in Salt Lake City. The name perfectly reflects what it offers: Mar represents the sea 🌊 Muntanya represents the mountains ⛰️ —————————————————————————— 🦪 M | M Oysters We started with a plate of oysters. They were small but sweet and plump. Served with raw beef and two sauces—one cocktail sauce, one brown sauce—both delicious. A squeeze of lemon made it perfect! 🍋😋 🥘 Paella Authentic Spanish seafood paella with fresh shellfish and chorizo. The mussels were incredibly tender, and the sausage was flavorful. Though the website says it serves 4-6, it’s really enough for 2️⃣ people. [Reserve this in advance online] 🥬 CRISPY BRUSSEL SPROUTS My favorite dish of the night! The Brussels sprouts were amazingly sweet and crispy. I usually eat them, but rarely this good. Topped with pomegranate seeds for a fruity sweetness that elevated the flavor. The dish also included Iberian pork 🐖—rich and aromatic without being greasy. 🐙 OCTOPUS ASADOR This octopus was marinated for 2️⃣4️⃣ hours! Grilled to a crispy outside and tender inside, served with creamy mashed potatoes. My friend’s top pick! ❤️ 🥃 Drinks We ordered two Spanish wines—one sparkling and one white. Both were excellent and paired beautifully with the food. 🍷✨ 🌱 Ambience The atmosphere was cozy with dark-toned decor and leather menus. Best of all—the night view overlooking downtown Salt Lake City was stunning! 🌃 Also checked their menu 🔖—seems only dinner is Spanish-style; brunch is more American. So evening visits are highly recommended! 🏆 Rating: S Tier / Absolutely worth trying—will return! #SaltLakeCity #SLCFood #SLCExplorer #SpanishCuisine #VibeDining #RestaurantRecommendation #FoodieJourney #FineDining #WineLovers #TravelEats
