🇺🇸 Salt Lake City | The Magical Cave Donut Fall ✨

Originally planned to go to Bloods Lake this weekend. Arrived at the trailhead at 8:40 AM, but there wasn’t a single parking spot available! 😅 While heading back, I remembered a friend’s post about Donut Falls having perfect water levels recently—you can even climb up and see inside the cave! So we decided to go for it! 🚗💨 📍 Donut Falls Summer Trailhead No wonder it’s one of Salt Lake City’s most popular trails—so many families with kids on the weekend! 🌲👨👩👧👦 The trail follows a crystal-clear stream through the woods, leading to a small cliff. With the help of a rope, you can carefully descend and begin the real adventure! 🧗♀️🌊 Looking upstream, you’ll see rocks stacked almost vertically. At the very top, a waterfall rushes through a hole in the rock, forming a cave—this is the famous Donut Fall! 🍩💦 During summer and early fall, the water flow isn’t too strong, and the temperature is pleasant, making it possible to climb up and witness this magical sight! The final climb requires a bit of courage, but it’s super fun! Reaching the top and seeing the waterfall pouring down from above feels incredibly rewarding! 🌟👏 Today, we even saw two brave 6-7 year olds make it up—so inspiring! A word of caution—your shoes will almost definitely get wet during the climb (mine were completely soaked, as usual 😂). Also, the rocks can be slippery due to moss. It’s best to wear grippy shoes and keep an extra dry pair in the car. Most importantly, be safe and know your limits! 🧦⛑️ ⭐️ About Parking: You can park in the lot along the road and walk about 0.7 mi to the trailhead—it’s an easy and scenic walk! 🚶♀️🌳 During summer and fall, you can also drive closer to the trailhead, but spots are limited, so come early. As for why you can’t drive in during spring and winter… Check out the two comparison photos taken in the same spot today and back in April—the snow was almost as high as the sign! ❄️📏 Winter at Donut Fall is truly magical too~ ❤️ #HikingAdventures #OutdoorExploration #WeekendGetaway #SaltLakeCity #DonutFalls #NatureLovers #FamilyFun #UtahHikes #TravelDiaries #AdventureTime
