🇺🇸 Salt Lake City Ski Trip|A Hidden Gem for Dim Sum 🥟✨
If you’re visiting Salt Lake City for skiing or travel, don’t miss this amazing dim sum spot! 🏂❄️ Don’t be fooled by its modest exterior and small space—the food is made with incredible care and stands up to top traditional Cantonese restaurants in big cities! 🥟 Dim Sum|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Every item is fresh, plump, juicy, and served piping hot! 🥵🔥 You can tell everything is made daily and hasn’t been sitting in the steamer for long. Served straight from the kitchen, it has so much more soul than lukewarm cart dim sum in bigger cities. Order with your eyes closed! Also, highly recommend the sesame balls—the custard filling is unique and delicious! 🍡💛 🍗 Roast Duck|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Crispy skin, tender meat, rich juices, and full flavor. Aside from being just a tad too salty, it’s practically perfect. This dish was also served super hot—juices dripping with the first bite (see 🤤). Amazing how pre-made roasted meats can be presented so flawlessly! 🍲 Congee|⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ We ordered the seafood congee. Ingredients were simple— basa fish and medium shrimp—but well-handled: no odd smells, and the shrimp were bouncy and fresh. The congee itself was absolutely superb—perfect texture, well-cooked, with grains soft yet distinct. I bet the preserved egg with pork or beef congee would be even more amazing! 🥣🍤 🍚 Clay Pot Rice|❓🤔 We skipped it since we had a flight and didn’t want anything too heavy, but it seemed like a must-order at every table. Looked fantastic with perfect crispy bottom—definitely trying next time! ‼️ Summary: After eating here, I’ll never call Salt Lake City a food desert again! 🏜️🚫 This is premium, thoughtfully prepared food with great attention to detail. One thing to note: the restaurant is very small. We went at 11:30 AM on a Sunday and were told the wait would be an hour. Service is a bit slow—possibly due to the small kitchen or made-to-order steaming. Our last add-on dish came much later; expect around 30-35 minutes for all dishes to arrive. So order everything at once! Also, their baked goods are incredible—grab some to go. The almond cookies taste just like childhood. 🍪❤️ 📍 L & P Bakery Cafe 895 E 9400 S, Sandy, UT 84094 #DimSum#FoodReview#SaltLakeCity #SLCSki#SaltLakeTravel#SLCGuide#ExploreSLC#SLCFood #LifeInSLC #UtahEats
