🇺🇸 San Diego, USA ☀️🌊🏖️🏞️ (Travel Guide)
🇺🇸 San Diego, USA I absolutely love this city! It’s probably one of the safest in California—no doubt about it—way better than Los Angeles and San Francisco. With its long coastline, countless attractions, breathtaking sunsets, wild seals, bioluminescent “blue tears,” clean streets, and well-developed public transportation, it’s absolutely PERFECT for traveling!!! 💙 📌 Useful Info: 1️⃣ Airport Transportation – There’s a free shuttle service at the airport that runs between all terminals and Old Town Station. From there, you can take public transport to your hotel. 🚐 2️⃣ Public Transport Card – Download the app: Pronto. Register and link your credit card. Just scan when you board! It works for both buses and trolleys. $2.50 per ride, with a daily cap of $5 (or maybe $6? 😅) – after that, ride all you want without extra charges! 💳 3️⃣ I visited almost all the downtown attractions. Here’s my review from north to south: 🔹 1️⃣ Salk Institute for Biological Studies – A super photogenic research institute, BUT... it’s open only 3 days a week, for just one hour each day, and you MUST book in advance. ⚠️ Great if you have time, skip if short on schedule. 🔹 2️⃣ University of California San Diego – A top UC school. You can stop for a quick photo, but it’s skippable. Both UCSD and UCLA felt too modern for me—I prefer the historic vibes of places like the University of Chicago. 🏫 🔹 3️⃣ UCSD Scripps Pier – By the beach! A great spot for surfing and photos. 📸 🔹 4️⃣ La Jolla Cove – MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!! 😍 The bay is gorgeous, the lawn is beautiful, the sunsets are magical, and you can see WILD SEALS! 🦭 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! 🔹 5️⃣ Pacific Beach – Another stunning beach where I saw the bioluminescent “blue tears.” I was speechless! 🌌 🔹 6️⃣ Mission Bay – A park-like bay with beaches and sailboats. Perfect for outdoor activities: camping, picnics, photos, and boating. 🚣 🔹 7️⃣ Old Town – A charming Mexican-style village full of souvenir shops and restaurants. Great for photos, and there’s a famously haunted house! 👻 🔹 8️⃣ Sunset Cliffs – A seaside cliff perfect for watching the sunset. 🌅 4️⃣ San Diego is so laid-back with amazing weather—perfect for relaxing. 🏄♂️ Everyone on the beachside paths is biking, skateboarding, or rollerblading. On the sand, people walk dogs, play volleyball, and surf... Everyone looks so content. I honestly want to live here for a while lol! #USA #San Diego #SanDiegoTravel #TravelUSA
