🇺🇸 San Diego|The Ultimate San Diego Travel Guide! (Part 2)
Day 2️⃣ San Diego California Temple (currently under renovation 🚧) — UCSD Campus — 🥣 Grandma Tofu BBQ (not recommended, quality has changed 👎) — California’s “Little Kamakura” — Outlets at San Clemente — Return to Irvine ⭐✔️ San Diego California Temple A stunning white Mormon temple 🕍✨ Currently under construction, so entry is restricted. ✔️ UCSD Campus Tour What a gorgeous ocean-view campus! 🌊📸 Two must-visit spots: 1️⃣ UCSD Scripps Pier Known as the “Sky Gate” – super photogenic! Walk down the slope (see pic 4) to reach the beach. 🚗 Parking: Navigate to Pinpoint Cafe. There’s free parking nearby. The lower lots require a permit. 📍 8755 Biological Grade, La Jolla, CA 92037 P.S. There’s a restroom in the Eckart Building (8755) near the cafe. Other buildings require access codes 😅 2️⃣ Geisel Library Filming location for Inception! 🎥 This library is incredibly designed and photogenic from every angle. 🅿️ Important: Make sure to find VISITOR parking. Some have shared stories of getting $80 tickets for parking in the wrong spot 😂 We couldn’t find it and ended up parking briefly on the slope for a quick photoshoot before leaving. ✔️ California’s “Little Kamakura” Located in San Clemente – just a few minutes' drive from the outlets. 🅿️ Street parking is available. 📍 243 Avenida Lobeiro, San Clemente, CA 92672 ✨ Another highly recommended spot I didn’t get to visit this time: ✔️ Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego That ocean-view window is everything! 😍 Super insta-worthy – totally inspired by beauties . Unfortunately, it opens at 11 AM, and we had to head back. 🎫 $25 per person (but there are free admission days! Check before you go – you might get in for free!). 🆓 Free on the second Sunday and third Thursday of every month! 🆓 Also free for visitors under 25. 📍 Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego 700 Prospect St, San Diego, CA 92037 #San Diego #CaliforniaTravel #USRoadTrip #StudyInTheUSA #Irvine
