🇺🇸 Tampa | My Once-a-Week Dessert Allowance… Wasted 😭

🔍 Cafe Clementine 📍 255 Beach Dr NE, St. Petersburg, FL 33701 Made tiramisu yesterday with homemade strawberry jam from freshly picked strawberries 🍓… Tried to improve from last time (not enough coffee flavor) — so I soaked the ladyfingers EXTRA… and ended up with a mushy, rough-textured mess 😬 Then I tried decorating with strawberries along the edge… and the whole thing collapsed 💥 In the end, I just chopped up more strawberries and made a “strawberry waterfall” to cover it up 😂💔 After a quick photoshoot 📸, I brought my “creation” along to Cafe Clementine — wanted to see what Daycation’s bakery supplier had to offer. ⚠️ The cafe is inside a museum — not easy to spo Tried a few things… only the scone was okay. The rest? Not great. 1️⃣ Buttermilk Scone - $7 Nice tea and orange zest flavor 🍊… but the icing was unnecessary. 2️⃣ Matcha Gateau Opera - $12 Went for the pistachio… but couldn’t taste it at all 😤 3️⃣ Chocolate Olive Oil Teacake - $7 Moist, but full of undissolved sugar crystals 🍬 4️⃣ Miso Caramel Banana Bostock - $7 Way too sweet — packed it up for a certain “sweet-life-deprived” man 🧁→📦 5️⃣ Hojicha Latte - $5 Foam was rough and too sweet. 6️⃣ Cookie Cloud Iced Latte - $5.5 Tasted like Biscoff — okay but cloying. Both homemade AND store-bought desserts failed today… Telling myself: “Eat more disappointments while you’re young…” 🫠 #TampaEats #CafeHop #DessertFail #CoffeeReview #SpringSweets #Foodiefail
