πΊπΈ Tampa is SO MUCH FUN!
5 Days & 4 Nights π΄π π Day 1: Arrival π Visited the downtown aquarium π½οΈ Ate at Ulele β delicious! π Day 2: Clearwater π£ Went deep-sea fishing π¬ Took a dolphin tour π Clearwater Aquarium is also great β perfect escape from the heat! π Parking around here is crazy expensive though πΈ π Day 3: Crystal River π¦₯ May isnβt manatee season, but a few resident manatees are still around! π¨ Water was murky after last yearβs hurricanes π’ π€Ώ Our guide was super dedicated β searched hard for manatees (even though I saw nada from the surface π) π€ If youβre lucky, a baby manatee might hug you β so healing! (Theyβre tough and bristly though π«£) π€ Rant: US outdoor tours are intense β 3-hour manatee snorkeling = 2 hours floating non-stop! π₯² π Only a float provided β arms-only paddling, no kicking = EXHAUSTING π¦ π¦ Ate at The Crab Plant β simple seafood, affordable, but CASH ONLY π΅ 𦩠On the way back, stopped at Ellie Schiller Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park β a mini zoo-like park π¦ ποΈ Originally $13, now only $9 due to hurricane damage! Manatees + flamingos β canβt beat that! π π Day 4: Weeki Wachee + Tampa City πΆ Kayaking β water was crystal clear with tons of fish! π π May = no manatees in the kayaking zone π’ π« 2 hours of kayaking = super tiring!! π¬ Tried a DIY cigar-rolling class in the city β under $100, and you keep all you roll! Great souvenir idea π¨ π½οΈ Ate at Columbia Restaurant β Tampaβs food scene does NOT disappoint! π Day 5: Home π« π΄ Slept in β who can handle 8 AM starts every day?! π π‘ Tips: Book water activities for the morning! βοΈ May is already HOT β after 2-3 PM, heat-sensitive folks will want AC π₯΅ Youβll need a car for almost everything π (Except Clearwater Beach). Most attractions are 1+ hour away each way! #Tampa #TravelUSA #FloridaGetaway #ManateeMagic ππΈ
