🇺🇸 Trusting the Comments in Boston Really Leads to Good Food!
【I Fresh Noodle Allston】 I carefully read the reviews after their reopening, and here’s the conclusion: The Sichuan Fish with Pickled Mustard Greens is AMAZING… and the beef noodles are great value. A bit small inside, but it’s basically a canteen for regulars! Thank you to everyone who recommended the Sichuan Fish – it’s even more flavorful than at specialized fish restaurants 🐟🌶️. It doesn’t taste like a pre-made sauce pack at all – you can tell the spices are freshly stir-fried 🙏🏻. The mustard greens are tangy but not overly salty, and the chili oil on top is super fragrant. The fish is tender but doesn’t fall apart. It gets pretty spicy if you eat a lot – loved it!! Also tried the Cumin Lamb BiangBiang Noodles – the noodles are so much chewier when eaten fresh in the store! Wide, thick, and substantial with a strong wheat aroma. Each strand is coated in sauce and doesn’t clump together. The lamb is tender, and the cumin + sesame taste reminded me of childhood lamb skewers from Daoxiangcun! There’s also celery and tomato in the mix – so flavorful. Got the basic Beef Noodles too – solid and affordable 👌🏻 Is it mind-blowing, exactly like in Northwest China? Not quite, but for $14 in Allston, it’s a generous bowl with zero complaints. Overheard the next table saying Kaojiu’s cold skin noodles are even better than I Fresh Noodle’s… quietly added that to my list 😂 A friend also recommended their hidden “Three-in-One” noodle – I’ll be back!! Fighting to keep Boston’s reliable little spots in business 💪🏻 #BostonEats #HiddenGems #LanzhouNoodles #BiangBiangNoodles #SichuanFish #BostonLife #FoodReview 🍜🔥
