🇺🇸 U.S. Student’s Winter Break Road Trip|Little Rock, Arkansas
Finally made it to Little Rock! ✨ (Fun fact: “Little Rock” can also be translated as “” – both work!). Highly recommend staying downtown. We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suites Little Rock-Downtown – super convenient and comfy! 🏨💯 🍽️ Restaurant Recommendations: Dugan’s Pub: An Irish-themed pub with live music! 🎶 Must-tries: Irish Poutine, Beer Battered Mozzarella Sticks, and Bangers Mash! 🧀🍟 The baked cheese is stretchy, the poutine comes with fries + mushrooms + bacon + melted cheese, and the bangers mash is sausages + mashed potatoes. So yummy! Copper Grill: Recommended by locals! Dizzy’s Gypsy Bistro: Also locals’ favorite! 🏛️ Attraction Recommendations: 📍 Little Rock Central High School National Historic Site Closed on Sundays. Usually $10 entry, but free with an annual pass 🎫. This site commemorates the bravery of the Little Rock Nine – the nine Black students who challenged segregation by enrolling in the then all-white high school. Across the street, there’s what looks like an abandoned gas station (or maybe not? 😆). The school is still maintained, and the central “Tiger” statue dates back to the Class of ‘62. So surreal to think – those students would have graduated around the ‘70s, and I’m Class of ‘24… different centuries altogether! 🐯📚 📍 Old State House Museum 📍 William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum Took an evening walk nearby and saw the door in P6… super creepy though 😳… #ArkansasTravel #LittleRock #RoadTrip #USATravel #WeekendGetaway #Photography
