I’ve been to Louisville three times, and finally found the spot worth raving about! 1st visit: Tried The Eagle 🍗 – unique but overly salty and just okay. 2nd visit: Went to Claudia Sanders Dinner House (KFC Colonel’s original spot) 🍴 – buffet style, but even the original recipe chicken didn’t wow us. We decided not to return. 3rd time’s the charm: Did deep research on Xiaohongshu, Google, and Maps… and found Hammerheads – hidden in a residential area but absolutely incredible! 🤩 📍 Location: Close to downtown but tucked quietly into a neighborhood. 🦈 Decor: Two giant shark statues out front – you can’t miss it! 🦈🦈 The interior is super cool – I meant to take photos but was too busy eating (then forgot 😅). 🍽️ Ambience: It’s a bar + restaurant, so it can get loud, but it’s clean and spacious. Seating inside and outside! 👏 Service: Everyone was genuinely warm and energetic – great vibes! 🍔 What We Ordered: 🧀 Mac & Cheese Balls Crispy outside, gooey mac and cheese inside… a must-order for cheese lovers! 😋 🦆 Duck Sandwich Smoky, slightly spicy, tender pulled duck – reminds me of Buckee’s pork sandwich but better! Highly recommend. 🦌 ELK Burger Their signature – juicy patty, well-seasoned. Not a burger person myself, but my partner enjoyed it. 🐑 Lamb Ribs We got half rack – fall-off-the-bone tender! Light gaminess balanced with rich meat and奶香. Perfect with their dark BBQ-ish sauce. 🍟 Grippo Fries: UPGRADE TO DUCK FAT FRIES FOR +$3 – SO WORTH IT! Sweet, spicy, crispy, with a seasoning that tastes just like Chinese plum powder + chili – addictive! We finished the whole basket. 💵 Price: Around $35 per person.
