Travel | Eat & Explore in Louisville ๐ฝ๏ธ๐ถโ๏ธ
On 5/3/2024, we went to watch the Kentucky Oaks ๐ and planned a fun day exploring Louisville โ including trying Cuban food, visiting the Ohio River, touring a bourbon distillery, and catching races at Churchill Downs! We first got a recommendation from food blogger and decided to have lunch at a Cuban restaurant. Since it didnโt open until 12 PM, we arrived at 11 AM and spent some time strolling along Market Street. ๐ธ We stumbled upon a gorgeous dandelion flower wall โ which turned out to be the entrance of a quirky little shop! We thought weโd kill 10 minutes inside, but ended up falling down the rabbit hole ๐ฐโฆ The store was filled with adorable decorations, each room with a different theme: Kentucky bourbon culture ๐ฅ, horse shoes, vintage clocks, medieval armor, Cthulhu mythos tentacles ๐, and even one โnot-safe-for-Instagramโ room ๐. We were stuck there for a full hour โ the place was huge with two layered gardens in the back, plus super photo-friendly! ๐ธ Store Address: 701 E Market St, Louisville, KY 40202 ๐จ๐บ The Cuban restaurant was amazing too! The waiter enthusiastically explained the menu, and everything sounded delicious. The portions were huge โ we didnโt even order dessert. Each of us got a main + drink and left completely stuffed! By 12:30 PM, the place was half full, and soon after, a line started forming outside. For detailed food recommendations, check out โ the review was so thorough! Next time, weโre trying the tacos they recommended ๐ฎ.
