🇺🇸 Utah | Park City|Post-Ski Soft Shell Crab Ramen 🦀🍜

I’ve been to Park City so many times, yet I never discovered this hidden gem until a friend 🍠 recommended it. How many more years would I have missed it without this tip? Grateful for the mutual love among foodies! ❤️ They specialize in Fukuoka-style ramen. At first glance, the menu looks typical, but every dish has its unique twist—thoughtful details that set it apart from other ramen spots. 📝 Fun fact: Fukuoka is the birthplace of tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen. The shop is actually named Yama (meaning “mountain” ⛰️ in Japanese), but the sign outside says Yuma—not sure if it’s an intentional play on words or a happy accident! 😄 🦀 Tempura Soft Shell Crab Even better than what I had in New Orleans! The tempura batter is perfectly crispy, and the crab even has roe—what a delightful surprise! It’s delicious on its own, and dipping it in soy sauce cuts the richness. But the best way to enjoy it? Soaked in ramen broth! Who would expect to find soft shell crab in Utah? 🤩 Apparently, it’s only available during winter. 🍜 Ramen We tried the tonkotsu and black garlic ramen, both served with shrimp tempura, chashu, and a whole egg. The egg and chashu are prepared using the sous-vide method—my first time having a poached egg-like texture in a Utah ramen shop! 🥚 The broth was fairly standard. 🍳 Tamagoyaki (Japanese Omelette) Warm, soft, and delicate—topped with Kewpie mayo and fish roe. So yummy! Though it gets a bit rich after a few bites—maybe my taste buds are leaning lighter as I age. 🍱 They also serve unagi don (eel rice bowl)—wondering how that tastes! 🅿️ Limited parking; you can park in the building next door. Ambience ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Average per person: $50 Yuma Ramen Restaurant on Park City 📍 1700 Park Ave #103B, Park City, UT 84060 #Utah #SaltLakeCity #Ski #JapaneseWinterFood #RamenHeaven #NewYearFeast #AuthenticTravel #FoodDiscovery
