🇺🇸 Work from Utah 🍮 French Desserts by the Desert! 🏜️✨
Dessert at desert! In my previous posts, I shared my daily go-to bakeries and coffee shops in Salt Lake City, but discovering a French-inspired dessert chain here was a real surprise! 📍 Multiple locations: Downtown Salt Lake City, the airport, and nearby cities like Draper and American Fork. 🥑 Avo’s rating system: 👏 Loved it 👍 Liked it 👌 Okay 👎 Not for me 🍮 Fruit Tarts in Puff Pastry with Custard Cream 👏 These extra-long-named fruit tarts are truly better than your average fruit tart! I tried the mixed fruit flavor at 【Eva’s Bakery】, but here I got the raspberry version. Instead of a hard crust, it’s made with flaky, buttery puff pastry—way more layered and delicious. The custard is light and not overly sweet. Perfect for breakfast or dessert! 🍫 Cannoli 👍 An Italian cream-filled pastry that sounds similar to French canelés but totally different! Crispy shell filled with sweet cheese and chocolate chips—super satisfying in every bite. 🍞 Avocado Toast 👍 🥑 I really love avocado, haha! This version uses baguette-style bread. Compared to 【Eva’s Bakery】, it has less whole-grain aroma, but the avocado and cherry tomatoes stand out more. Portion isn’t huge—great as a light meal or paired with dessert. 😁 🍵 Matcha Latte 👌 The matcha powder here is pre-sweetened, not the slightly bitter, aromatic type 🥑 usually prefers. I still love 【Three Pines Coffee】's matcha latte more. Not sure if their coffee would taste better though. ❓ I heard their Napoleon cake is amazing, but I didn’t see it—probably sold out early in the morning. 😭 Their various cheesecake flavors also looked fantastic! 💬 They serve both hot food and desserts and close late—no reason to miss this place! 😄 🌍 Four years of working remotely—next stop, still exploring Salt Lake City. #SaltLakeCityEats #UtahFood #WorkFromAnywhere #SaltLakeCityDesserts #UtahTravel #FrenchPastries #DesertVibes #FoodieAdventure #SweetTooth #RemoteLife
