📸 Just took the best photos of my life in South Africa—but the real-life views are even more breathtaking, beyond what any picture can capture! 👮♂️ Sure, safety can be a bit nerve-wracking at times, but this land is absolutely worth exploring deeply. 🌊 If you want the ocean, Cape Town is the place. ⛰️ But if you crave peace, healing, and raw nature, then the Drakensberg Mountains are a must! The landscapes here are uniquely dramatic, with hotels tucked right into the scenery—wake up to mountain views, step outside to hike, horseback ride, or even play golf. Every activity brings a new way to connect with nature. 🏨 Hotels to Consider (book ahead—they fill up fast!): ✔️ aha ALPINE Health Resort ✔️ Drakensberg Sun ✔️ Champagne Castle Hotel ✔️ Little Switzerland 💰 Price range: R1500–R5000/night (~¥600–2000), usually great value with unexpected perks. 🍽️ The mountain cuisine wasn’t really my thing, but many lodges have kitchens—bring your own ingredients (I never travel without instant noodles! 🍜). 📍 Road Trip Route: Durban → Drakensberg → Golden Highlands Gate → Clarens → Johannesburg 🍁 The landscapes shift beautifully along the way. On the drive back to Joburg, we stopped in Clarens—a quiet, charming little town bathed in autumn colors, instantly slowing down time.
