🌸🌺🌿🍃 Himuro Shrine 🌸🌺🌿🍃

Himuro Shrine is a subsidiary shrine of Kasuga Shrine. It originates from the Ice Pond located in Kasugano, 🌸🌺🌿🍃 which freezes in the severe cold and is known as the Ice Room. The ice accumulated here is stored until the following year, 🌸🌺🌿🍃 establishing a system of presenting ice to Heian-kyō from April 1st to September 30th each year. ❄️ The main deities enshrined here are Tōke Inazuchi Ōyamanokami, 🌸🌺🌿🍃 Ōtōri Ōkami, and Nukata no Ōnakatomi no Mikoto. Additionally, in the 13th century, it became one of the three music establishments in Japan, 🌸🌺🌿🍃 known as the Nanto Gagaku-jo, growing into a major stronghold for Nara dance and music.
