(Long Beach / Budget-Friendly Edition) ๐ธ๐
Hey everyone! Iโve been exploring quite a few places lately, though I havenโt been posting as often ๐ โฆ But no worries โ today Iโm sharing one of my favorite easy weekend spots just 30-40 minutes from LA! ๐๐จ You might recognize the Queen Mary from movies like The X-Files, Pearl Harbor, and The Usual Suspects ๐ฌ. This historic British ocean liner was purchased by the city of Long Beach in 1967 for $3.2 million and has since been transformed into a museum, hotel, and tourist attraction! What makes it even more intriguing? Itโs famously โhauntedโ ๐ป! Some visitors have reported unexplained footsteps, voices, and ghostly sightings. The most active spots are said to be an old swimming pool, the engine room, and a certain doorโฆ But when I went? Nothing spooky โ maybe because it was broad daylight ๐โ๏ธ. Itโs a fantastic place for photos โ every corner oozes vintage charm and makes for a great Instagram backdrop! ๐ธโจ ๐๏ธ Tickets: General admission: $45 (includes 1 random tour) Child: $35 ๐ก Budget hack: Early bird or late entry (6:30โ10:00 AM or 6:00โ10:00 PM) is only $15! (No tour included.) ๐ ฟ๏ธ Parking: Plan to stay at least 1+ hour. Full-day parking is $25. ๐ Location: 1126 Queens Hwy, Long Beach, CA 90802 #USA #TravelUSA #BudgetTravelUS #VisitTheUSA #LosAngeles #NearLA #LATravel #LongBeach #HauntedHistory #QueenMary #WeekendVibes
