We just returned from an unforgettable 12-day Hawaii trip with my parents! 🌴☀️ Since we used credit card points to cover part of our hotel expenses, I’ll share the actual costs based on my parents' spending for reference. 💰 ✈️ Flights Hong Kong → Hawaii round trip with a layover in Japan: ~$1,000 USD per person 🏨 Accommodation 10 nights in Oahu & Kauai: ~$1,500 USD per person Average: $150 USD per night per person 🛫 Inter-Island Flights Oahu ↔ Kauai round trip (including checked baggage): ~$200 USD per person 🍽️ Food & Drinks Mix of food trucks, casual spots, and 2-3 nice dinners (e.g., Tommy Bahama 🍹) Also includes fruits, drinks, ice cream, and snacks Total: ~$550 USD per person 🚗 Car Rental 12-day rental: ~$300 USD per person (great value!) 🌊 Activities & Tours Captain Andy’s Na Pali Coast boat tour: ~$280 USD per person Breathtaking views — totally worth it! ⛵ 🧾 Miscellaneous Uber rides, souvenirs, etc.: ~$100 USD per person ✅ Total Cost per Person: ~$4,000 USD Though not the most budget-friendly trip, every dollar was well spent!
