148-Dish Seafood Buffet 🦞

Finally made the trip from South Bay to San Diego with my bestie to check out this buffet, and the experience was absolutely incredible 💕 Can you even relate?! She’d been raving about it for three months, and now I see why—it did not disappoint! The quality at Great Plaza Buffet totally surpassed my expectations. I used to think buffets were all about quantity over quality, but this place is different❣ You can tell they put real care into the freshness of the ingredients and the seasoning. They offer 148 different dishes daily, and not a single one feels half-hearted👌🏻 At first, I thought "148" was just a number, but from sashimi to hot dishes, fried chicken to desserts—the variety is honestly overwhelming in the best way. I have to give a special shout-out to the salmon sashimi! It’s so tender and fresh, with a subtle sweetness that comes through. The texture totally rivals what you’d get at a dedicated Japanese restaurant. I may or may not have had two plates all by myself… My friend definitely joked that I’d already “gotten my money’s worth”😂 The fried food section was fully stocked and generous. Even my picky kids sat quietly munching on chicken wings and fries—no nagging needed. Seeing them enjoy their food so much, this mama finally got to relax and enjoy her meal too~ The hot food section totally hit home for my Chinese taste buds! The spicy crayfish🦞, the salt-and-pepper crab🦀, the garlicky shrimp… I lost count of all the delicious options. I wanted to try everything, but my stomach sadly has its limits🥲 The drink station even had boba milk tea, and the dessert case featured matcha cake and tiramisu that were just the right amount of sweet—the perfect way to wrap up the meal. I’m officially declaring Great Plaza Buffet a must-try—everyone who goes seems to love it. The quality and atmosphere are just that good~I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in SD! 📍: 1840 Garnet Ave San Diego, CA 92109 #SanDiegoEats #SeafoodBuffet #AllYouCanEat
