Canberra is such a perfect destination for a family trip! During the holiday, three families went together with kids, and we felt three days weren’t even enough 😍. Here’s our itinerary—follow it for a stress-free, fun-packed vacation! 🚗 Day 1 | Let’s Go! Enter a Fairy-Tale Miniature World ⏰ 8:30 AM – Depart from Sydney 🚗 Scenic drive with a coffee break on the way ☕ 🍽️ Lunch: CocoNine Gungahlin A popular local Thai restaurant with authentic flavors and spacious seating. 🎡 Afternoon Fun: Cockington Green Gardens 🧚♀️ A magical miniature world + steam train ride! So tiny yet so detailed—kids loved it! 🏨 Hotel: Hyatt Hotel Canberra A classic 5-star hotel with large, quiet rooms and a super convenient location near major attractions. 🍻 Dinner: Capital Brewing Co 🍺 Family-friendly industrial-style brewpub with a huge lawn for kids to run around while adults enjoy craft beer! Highly recommend the Pale Ale and fried chicken burger 🍔. You can even see the giant beer brewing equipment at the entrance! 🔬 Day 2 | Science Museum + Outdoor Fun 🌅 Breakfast: Dockside Cafe Kingston Lakeside views with a modern tech-park vibe—fresh air and great coffee! 🔬 Main Attraction: Questacon – National Science and Technology Centre A paradise for kids (and adults)! super interactive—probably the best science museum I’ve been to. The kids spent over 4 hours here! Lunch at the museum café. 🛝 Afternoon Fun: Ridgeline Park Playground A massive playground with slides, climbing structures, sandpits, and open grass—situated on a hill with great views! 🍜 Dinner: Ramen O 🍜 Mind-blowing ramen! Rich broth, and the kids devoured four soft-boiled eggs with theirs 😂. The gyozas are also a must-try! 🎨 Day 3 | Art & Relaxation + Return to Sydney 🍳 Brunch: Mayfair Espresso Asian-Western fusion with photogenic and delicious options. Matcha drinks and cakes are highly recommended! 🖼️ Visit: National Gallery of Australia 🇦🇺 Impressive art collection—even the kids stayed engaged! The outdoor sculpture garden is perfect for little ones to unwind. 🍽️ Lunch: Li Nong Chinese Restaurant (CBD) ⚠️ Avoid this one!
