3-Day Vancouver Island Adventure & Whale Watching Guide
Spent the Easter long weekend exploring Vancouver Island with friends! We visited Sooke, Duncan, Port Renfrew, Salt Spring Island, and finished in Victoria π²π π Trip Highlights: π The midnight drive through pure wilderness felt like a real-life escape room! Arrived at our Airbnb around midnight after 2 hours through foggy, spray-painted-sign forests with zero people around (which was kinda scary π ). Five of us huddled in the car, totally thrilled and alert - such a unique experience! π Whale watching was incredible! We spotted a whole family of orcas swimming around our boat π’ They were so fast and playful! Also saw sea lions sunbathing π π° Tickets: ~$169 CAD pp (book at victoria whale watch tour) β Includes: hot chocolate/coffee/tea, windproof jackets, gloves, hats βοΈ Pro tip: Dress warm - it gets chilly on the water! ποΈ Botanical Beach (Missed this one due to a hiking injury π’ but friends loved it!) πͺ Malahat Skywalk was amazing as always! Perfect for families - they had an Easter egg hunt with 10 hidden eggs throughout the area π₯ The kids (and us!) had a blast finding them all! π³ Port Renfrew's ancient forests took our breath away - found a magnificent lone tree standing proudly π§ Salt Spring Island's cheese factory with adorable baby goats was absolutely delightful π These hidden gems made for such a special trip - Vancouver Island never disappoints!
