30🔪 Stumbled out with satisfaction - Dough Zone

A budget-friendly alternative to Din Tai Fung Too lazy to cook at home on Christmas Eve, so I headed to Dough Zone near UV for dinner. This place has several locations in Seattle, and they all seem to be close to Din Tai Fung. The ambiance isn’t as nice compared to Din Tai Fung, but the prices are more affordable!! Almost all dishes are under $10, but the portions are a bit small, so you can try many different items. 🍌We ordered both crab roe and pork soup dumplings (xiao long bao). So juicy!! I had just been to Din Tai Fung in Bellevue a few days ago, and a friend said these are better than the Din Tai Fung in the U.S., but the one in Taiwan still takes the top spot. 🍌We also ordered spicy noodles, won tons, and banana pancakes. The portions of the noodles and won tons were really tiny; I could finish two servings by myself. The spicy noodles were tasty, but not spicy at all, probably to cater to American tastes. 🍌 The banana pancake is highly recommended by many, but I was a bit disappointed. The crust wasn’t very crispy and was a bit oily, making it a bit heavy with the banana. After eating, I walked past the Din Tai Fung next door and saw a long line. Looks like Dough Zone not only saves you money but also a lot of waiting time. It’s perfect for someone who suddenly craves noodles or xiao long bao. hh #Seattle #SeattleSurroundings #SeattleLife #Dinner #ChristmasEve #DinTaiFung #CrabMeatXiaoLongBao #SeattleFoodExploration #FoodExploration #UV
