48-Hour Spring Trip to Grand Rapids 𫧠| Full Guide to Food & Fun!
We started from Troy and made delicious Chinese food stops in East Lansing both ways ππ¨ (Iβve posted separately about the restaurants!). This itinerary combines insights from multiple sources β I dare say itβs a top-tier travel guide for everyone! π Day 1 π₯‘ Lunch β Everyday Authentic Chinese Cuisine "Everyday" lives up to its hype! π₯’ Extensive menu, fantastic flavors β definitely coming back! π First Stop in GR: The famous Blue Bridge! If you have 2-3 extra hours, check out John Ball Zoo or the Grand Rapids Museum. πΊ Dinner β New Holland Brewing How can you not enjoy beer in one of Americaβs most famous "Beer Cities"?! After dinner, we visited the Lantern Festival (open until June β posted separately earlier!). π Accommodation: The Lafayette House I prefer Airbnb/B&Bs over hotels! This historic old-money mansion in Heritage Hill offered a unique, vintage vibe. We loved strolling around the picturesque street every time we stepped out! π‘β¨ Day 2 π§ Brunch β Social Misfits Their waffles were delicious! π§β€οΈ We blindly ordered cocktails and lattes β and they were amazing too! πΆββοΈ City Walk After eating, we explored downtown and took 10,000 flower photos at Veterans Memorial Park πΈπΈ. The streets are also filled with vibrant murals β a very different style from Detroitβs! π Afternoon: Frederik Meijer Gardens We visited the butterfly exhibit π¦ and loved the atmosphere so much we stayed longer than planned! The park is huge β we only had time for the Japanese Garden and Sculpture Park before closing. The super chubby koi fish were incredibly soothing to watch! ππ π₯ Dinner β Boiling Pot Had a tasty hotpot dinner! The flavor was decent, but the price was unbeatable. East Lansingβs Chinese food scene is truly impressive! π²π₯ #Grand Rapids #TravelFrog #HiddenGems #MichiganTravel #SpringGetaway #FoodieAdventure
