Michigan Grand Rapids Winery/Craft Brewery Visit đ»
Michigan Grand Rapids Winery/Craft Brewery Visit đ» I came to Grand Rapids, Michigan for a competition, and a trip here wouldnât be complete without stopping by a local winery/brewery to taste their specialties! I checked out Founders Brewing Co. beforeâwhile it had live rock bands, the vibe was way too noisy, which made it not ideal for sipping drinks and chatting. This time, I picked New Holland Brewering Pub⊠and let me tell you, itâs a total must - recommend! The beer is amazing, the food is delicious, and both the parents and the kids were 100% satisfiedâwe all left happy! đ Appetizers: Total Crowd - Pleasers! đ„š Pepperoni Pinwheels: The bread was so soft yet had the perfect chewy texture, and the pepperoni inside added just the right amount of savory flavorâabsolutely tasty! đ Artichoke Spinach Dip: It was packed with rich, creamy cheese goodness, and when you dipped the crispy tortilla chips into it? The combination of creamy dip and crunchy chips was chefâs kissâwe couldnât stop munching on it! đ„Źđ§ Main Courses: No Duds, Just Deliciousness! đ Frisky Melt: Think thick - sliced toast thatâs been soaked in butter and toasted to a golden crisp, layered with crispy bacon and two juicy beef patties. Every bite was a burst of buttery, meaty goodness that filled your taste budsâso indulgent and satisfying! đ„© Smoked Pulled Pork: A BBQ pulled pork burger that was incredible! The pork was tender, smoky, and coated in just the right amount of BBQ sauceâso flavorful! My teammatesâ parents ordered the fried chicken burgers and beef burgers, and they all raved about how amazing they were. Even the kidsâ pizza from the kidsâ menu was a hitâall the little ones said it was so good they wanted a second slice! Basically, you canât go wrong with anything on the menuâzero misses! đšđ©đ§đŠ The Star of the Show: Beer Tasting (9 Kinds Rated!) đș I tried 9 different beers, so hereâs my breakdownâperfect for anyone looking to order next time! Tangrine Space Machine Hazy IPA: Super friendly for those who prefer lighter beers! It has a nice tangerine fruitiness, not too bitterâgreat for women or anyone who likes fruity, easy - drinking IPAs. đ Peach Space Machine Hazy IPA: My favorite of the night! A peach - flavored Hazy IPA thatâs sweet, fruity, and so smoothâtotal winner for peach lovers! đâ€ïž PASSION BLASTER: A pretty pink fruity light beer with lovely berry notes. It was refreshing and easy to sipâmy second favorite of the evening! đ THE POET OATMEAL STOUT: A dark brown stout with strong oat and malt flavors. Unfortunately, it was a bit too heavy for my tasteâI didnât love the intense maltiness. đ DRAGON'S Milk BOURBON BARREL - AGED STOUT: The pubâs signature! Itâs a super rich, dark black stout aged in bourbon barrels. I couldnât get into the heavy, bold flavor, but my husband loved itâtotal stout fan favorite! đ€ DRAGON'S MILK RESERVE: COFFEE CHOCOLATE: A rich stout with coffee and chocolate notesâsince I love coffee, this was the most drinkable âDragonâs Milkâ stout for me. The cocoa flavor was nice and prominent! âđ« DRAGON'S MILK RESERVE: OATMEAL COOKIE: The only heavy stout I finished the whole glass of! Even though itâs bold, it actually has a sweet oatmeal cookie - like creaminess. Pair it with cheese fries, and the flavors balance out perfectlyâso tasty! đȘ TRIPLE MASH BOURBON BARREL - AGED STOUT: The heaviest beer of the night, with an ABV of 18.7%! I really couldnât handle itâit tasted like drinking herbal medicine to me. Way too strong for my palate! đ„Ž BOURBON BARREL - AGED GOLDEN ALE: A solid choice! Itâs a golden IPA with a medium bodyânot too light, not too heavy. Most people would probably enjoy this oneâitâs pretty approachable. âš Brewery Address đ 417 Bridge St NW, Grand Rapids, Michigan If youâre in Grand Rapids, do yourself a favor and stop byâgreat food, great beer, and a vibe thatâs perfect for families or groups! đ #GrandRapidsBrewery#MichiganCraftBeer#NewHollandBrewing#BeerAndFoodLovers#GrandRapidsTravel
