5.5 Layover in Sharjah

Today's itinerary: Sharjah Airport ✈️ - Museum of Islamic Civilization 🕌 - Heart of Sharjah ❤️ - Sharjah Art Museum 🎨 - Sharjah Fort 🏰 - Al Midfa Majlis 🏛️ - Cultural Square 🌍 - Sharjah Airport ✈️ 🌅 About the attractions: Since we took Bus 88 🚌, we went directly to the Museum of Islamic Civilization. Museum of Islamic Civilization: 10 AED per person. Sisters who have time should definitely explore it thoroughly—there’s so much worth learning about, and it’s such a brilliant civilization. Since we were on a layover and had to carry our luggage around, the museum offered luggage storage, which was super convenient! 💼 Heart of Sharjah ❤️: We wandered around for a long time using Google Maps and Apple Maps, but the location shown on the maps was just an ordinary building. We weren’t sure how the area was defined, and it felt like we never found the exact spot. Sharjah Art Museum 🎨: After walking around a bit, we felt like this area might be what people on refer to as the Heart of Sharjah. It was also fantastic and highly recommended! Sharjah Fort (Al Hisn) 🏰: We stumbled upon a castle-like structure while casually exploring. You could really feel the traces of history left behind. Majlis Al Midfa 🏛️: We only saw the exterior and didn’t go inside. Sisters with more time should definitely explore it properly. Cultural Square 🌍: This place is highly recommended! If you’re transiting through Sharjah again, it’s conveniently located between the city center and the airport, making it a perfect stop. It includes five classic Islamic buildings. In one stroll, you can see the Quran Monument, Pink Mosque 🕌, Cultural Palace, Ruler’s Office, and Montessori School—maximizing sights with minimal walking!
