8 Days and 7 Nights in Tokyo: All You Need is This Guide! ‼️

Day 1: Shenzhen - Hong Kong - Narita Airport, Tokyo Take a direct business car from Huanggang Port to Hong Kong Airport for 80 RMB. After landing at Narita Airport, transfer to the subway. Look for the Access Express heading towards Asakusa. Payment can be made in cash, Alipay, or with a transportation card. The journey takes about 50 minutes. Considering convenience and avoiding backtracking, we booked our hotel in Asakusa (clean, quiet, and great value for money). This proved to be a good choice as we didn't have to retrace our steps in the following days. Before checking in, we passed by an affordable fried food shop that surprisingly served delicious food (see Figure 4). Day 2: Asakusa - Senso-ji Temple (buy amulets, pray at the main hall) On the way, we passed by the Tokyo Skytree and had a very nice bowl of ramen (see Figure 10). Then, we took the subway to Akabanebashi and checked in at Tokyo Tower 🗼. Day 3: Ueno Zoo, Tokyo National Museum, Shibuya Sky for a night view of Tokyo Start the day at Ueno Zoo and Tokyo National Museum, then head to Shibuya Sky for an aerial view of Tokyo's night scenery. Day 4: Akihabara and Kamakura After exploring Akihabara in the morning, we left Asakusa and headed to Kamakura, staying at Ofuna Station (the starting point of the hanging train, with a large Kannon statue, and quiet environment). Day 5: Enoshima and Kamakura From Ofuna, we went to Enoshima 🚃, then to Kamakura High School Station, followed by a visit to Shichirigahama and Hase-dera Temple. In the evening, we had very authentic grilled meat in the alleys of Ofuna, which we couldn't forget even after we returned. Day 6: Shopping in Kamakura and Visiting Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Most of our shopping was done in Komachi Street, Kamakura, because of the exquisite and high-cost-performance souvenirs. We also visited Tsurugaoka Hachimangu, which is less than 100 meters away. Day 7: From Ofuna to Ikebukuro and Shinjuku Left Ofuna for our hotel in Ikebukuro (quiet and directly accessible to Narita Airport). In the evening, we explored Shinjuku (home to the 3D cat and trendy shops). After shopping, we returned to Higashi-Ikebukuro (Sunshine City for collectible figures). Day 8: Return Trip After checking out, we took the Willer bus from the west exit of JR Ikebukuro Station directly to Narita Airport. I think you can allocate 3 hours for shopping at the airport, as there are great deals on electronics, figures, and souvenirs, making it a perfect place for last-minute shopping. Ps. Japanese transportation is not as complicated as you might think; we were able to handle most routes without issues. #JapanTravel #TokyoJapan #JapanTravelGuide
