A 200-year-old traditional tavern.
📍 The restaurant is conveniently located right next to the Florence Cathedral, making it super accessible! Osteria Nuvoli has a rich history dating back over 200 years, originally started by a nobleman who sold local wines. It has now become a beloved spot for both locals and tourists to enjoy authentic Florentine cuisine. 🍽️ Here you can find traditional Florentine dishes such as the classic Ribollita (vegetable soup), the delicious Panino con Lampredotto (tripe sandwich), and Crostini (Florentine bread slices). 📸 Highly recommend their underground dining area! The decor retains a style that is over 1,100 years old, giving you the feeling of stepping back into the Middle Ages. 🌟 Crosini Misti (Mixed Crostini Platter) A must-try appetizer with four different toppings on bread slices. The chicken liver pâté is a must-try! Even I, who usually don't like offal, loved it. There's no liver taste at all! 🌟 Trippa alla Fiorentina (Florentine-Style Tripe) A tomato-based stewed tripe that is soft and tender. If you love tomatoes, this dish is perfect for you, especially when paired with bread. 🌟 Lampredotto al Piatto (Plated Tripe) Essentially a platter version of the tripe sandwich—it's incredibly aromatic! The portion is larger than the sandwich and can be enjoyed with the complimentary bread. Don't forget to do a Scarpetta (using bread to mop up the juices from the plate) for an authentic Italian experience! 🌟 For two girls, ordering one appetizer plus a second course each, or one main course plus a second course, is enough to feel full. The dishes shown here, plus a bottle of water, came to a total of 27 euros—an excellent value! ⏰ Open all day, you can stop by anytime for a drink or a full Italian meal. There's often a long line of people waiting to enjoy glasses of wine at the entrance. 📍 Address: Piazza dell'Olio, 15/r #Florence #FlorenceFood #FlorenceTravel #FlorenceRestaurant
