A 6-Day Itinerary Full of Snow, Bears & Hikes!
This July, I traveled to Alaska and found a summer that still has snow โ๏ธ! Hereโs a recap of our 6-day, 5-night adventure: ๐งณ Day 1: Chicago โ๏ธ Anchorage We stayed at the Alaska Glacier Lodge โ booked it mainly for the next morningโs helicopter tour! ๐ ๐ Day 2: Took the Grand Knik Helicopter Tour โ HIGHLY recommend! We landed at 3 incredibly scenic spots (see P2-P5 โ๏ธ). Then we hit the road and drove to Homer ๐๐จ. Stayed overnight in Homer. ๐ป Day 3: Joined a Bear Viewing Tour โ flew about 1 hour to a remote area. The flight itself was gorgeous, and at the destination, we spotted 6-7 bears! We even saw a mama bear with two cubsโฆ and witnessed her nursing them ๐พ๐งธ (P6-P9). Drove that night and stayed in Seward. ๐ฅพ Day 4: Hiked the Harding Icefield Trail! A challenging but absolutely epic trek with unreal glacier views. โ๏ธ๐๏ธ ๐ฆ Day 5: Tackled the Lost Lake Trail โ a 6-hour, 30,000-step adventure! Saw multiple moose along the way ๐ฆโฆ so Alaskan! ๐ฌ Day 6: Drove from Seward back to Anchorage. Caught a movie in Anchorage (because why not ๐) Anchorage โ๏ธ Chicago Alaska in the summer is pure magic โ snow-capped peaks, wildlife encounters, and trails that leave you breathless (in a good way!).
