A City with Warmth โ The Ultimate Travel Guide to Charlotte
The first stop of my winter break road trip through the American South was Charlotte, the largest city in North Carolina. All in all, I absolutely fell for this city. We arrived on December 31st, and the temperature in Charlotte was just perfect for me at that time. ๐ฒ ๐ดWandering through the streets with someone I love was pure comfort and bliss.๐ NASCAR Hall of Fame NASCAR racing is insanely popular across North America. ๐ผ ๐ท๐ทIt was my first time seeing so many race cars up close โ the hall showcases dozens of winning vehicles from past NASCAR events, along with all the champion driversโ racing suits. ๐ There are also video interviews with various titleholders, where you can truly feel their passion and love for racing through their words.๐ ๐๐Whatโs more, you can get hands-on experience with a racing engine simulator and even drive on a simulated NASCAR track.๐ฃ Itโs a perfect blend of fun and education.๐ ๐ก Recommendation Rating: โญโญโญโญโญ ๐ก Tickets: We bought ours at the ticket counter in the lobby. ๐ฑ The staff will offer you several package options; we went for the standard ticket, which cost $25 per person.๐ต๐ต ๐ก Location: Right in Charlotte Downtown ๐ก Parking Tip: The best bet is the underground parking lot right next to the NASCAR Hall of Fame.๐ง We parked there for about 3โ4 hours and paid around $15, which is cheaper than other nearby lots. ๐ We suggest parking here and walking โ street parking around the hall is basically unavailable, and the other attractions are all within walking distance anyway.๐๐ ๐ย Bechtler Museum of Modern Art The Bechtler Museum of Modern Art boasts a distinctive architectural design โ itโs the brown building shown in it. โจ The museum spans three floors and is the only institution in the American South dedicated to exhibiting European and American modern artworks.๐ The third floor features a multi-screen film themed around Brazilian culture and art, with an innovative design and a unique narrative style.๐ก If youโre a fan of post-modernist art, this is a must-visit spot.๐ฒ ๐ก Tickets: Student discounts are available, priced at approximately $7 per person.๐ Mint Museum Randolph๐ท๐ท The Mint Museum Randolph gets its name from its history โ it first served as a branch of the U.S. Mint back in the 1830s before being converted into a museum in the 1930s.๐ป๐ป ๐๐ผThis museum is a veritable treasure trove of porcelain from around the world, with a focus on British and European pieces from the 18th and 19th centuries. ๐ In addition, it also houses private collections of Chinese and Japanese porcelain from Western collectors. ๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐When we visited, there was even a special exhibition featuring Anna Suiโs works.๐ป ๐ก Tickets: Student discounts are available, priced at approximately $10 per person. ๐ Charlotte is truly a city meant for strolling around its streets and corners. ๐ฅฉ The temperature is especially pleasant in late December and early January, and there are plenty of great photo spots around Downtown.๐๐ #USATravel #TravelGuide #ThingsToDoInCharlotteNC
